“Amarcord “ means nostalgic memory…indeed my work is about memories, nostalgia, the forgotten, in other words, the past.

I therefor bond with the space in wich I am, A certain relation that I like to show in my photographs.

I perceive those photographs as little poetries, I like to leave some room to evocate.

They’re images of indoors spaces that unconsciously reflect my inner soul.

The time goes, the instants are ephemeral and what is left is only a memory often replaced by others…An abandoned place, Isolated, can have us jump backwards in our lives, towards a certain time… the smell of a room, objects left unchanged, traces of a time that has existed but now forgotten.

Everything has fallen, except for the table and the curtain…everything has changed, some people died, others were born, life has passed but the room is still there, year after year and no one came back…

Gaspard Friedrich said about painting “ the painter shouldn’t paint what’s in front of him but also what he sees in him “

Here I AM retracing the paths of the past… eventually this can appear to be a search for identity, an attempt to take root, to belong somewhere.

The nostalgia is a universal feeling, and it is important to me -living in a time where there’s an attempt to fragment us, divide us, separate us, a time where physical borders exist and mental ones are being created everyday- to remind us all that at the end we are all the same entity.

Art to me is a border-free territory where we can all meet and simply feel.

I would like, through my travel in the past, to create moments of escape, transport the minds, I would like for time to freeze for a couple of seconds.
